We were unable to travel to Israel, but the details given were top notch. I look forward to February to try again.

What a great opportunity to walk where Jesus walked and to experience the Israel culture firsthand. Philip’s House gives you the time to stop, read your Bible, pray and let the Holy Spirit speak. We saw many other tours that were rushing people from site to site with just enough time to take some pictures before heading off to the next place. There was very little time to reflect on what happened at that place. Philip’s House does the opposite; you’ll have time to soak in the beauty and essence of the land. I’ve always heard that visiting Israel makes the Bible come alive and it really is true. You will come away with a deeper understanding of the Bible and Israeli which will stay with you.

I could not have asked for a better experience in the Holy land. Information before hand was well planned out, Philip was easy to get ahold of by phone and super responsive The most amazing part of the trip was meeting the people we met along the way experts from the army, media, Knesset, and local Christians, Jews and Arabs. Philip has amazing connections from his many trips there so the living stones are amazing as the ancient stones. We saw so many amazing sights, had great hotels and food and buses (Sar El is best). Had amazing times just sitting and being present in the locations. Already planning my next trip and taking more.

**Review of Familiarization Trip to Israel with Philip's House** Our recent Familiarization Trip to Israel with Philip's House was nothing short of extraordinary. This thoughtfully curated journey provided a deep dive into the historical, spiritual, and cultural heart of Israel, while offering unique opportunities for reflection, learning, and connection. Here are the highlights of this unforgettable experience: My favorite highlights were: Hezekiah's Tunnel I enjoyed the journey exploring the ancient Hezekiah's Tunnel, a marvel of engineering that dates back to the 8th century BCE. Walking through the tunnel, which was carved through solid rock to secure Jerusalem’s water supply, provided an immersive experience into biblical history. It’s an awe-inspiring site that offers a tangible connection to the past. Don't overthink the experience, you might get claustraphobic! Prayer and Reflection Time at the Garden of Gethsemane One of the most poignant moments of this trip was our time of prayer and reflection at the Garden of Gethsemane. Surrounded by ancient olive trees and the serenity of the garden, we took time to reflect on the deep spiritual significance of this site, where Jesus faced his greatest moment of anguish before his crucifixion. The atmosphere was profoundly moving, inviting moments of quiet contemplation and prayer. Ancient Shiloh Visiting the ancient site of Shiloh, where the Tabernacle once stood, was a significant historical experience. Walking through this biblical location, where many important events in Israel’s history occurred, allowed us to connect with the spiritual and historical narratives of the Bible in a tangible way. National Leadership Center in Ariel The National Leadership Center in Ariel provided an insightful look into the future of Israel and the development of its leadership. Engaging with local Israeli leaders and learning about their vision for the country was inspiring. It’s clear that Israel’s future is being shaped by a committed and passionate group of individuals who are dedicated to making a positive impact. Shabbat Service in Ashdod Experiencing a Shabbat service in Ashdod was a special cultural and very surprising spiritual moment, especially worshipping familiar songs in Russian and Hebrew. It was incredible to be part of a local community as they celebrated the Jewish Sabbath. Ein Gedi National Park With its breathtaking desert landscapes, lush oasis, and cascading waterfalls, was another highlight. Hiking through the park felt like a journey back to biblical times, as it’s mentioned several times in the scriptures especially knowing it was where David retreated to hide from Saul. This cave inspired Davids writing of some of the Psalms. It was a peaceful and refreshing escape, where we enjoyed nature and experienced the beauty of Israel's diverse landscapes especially David's Waterfall. The Dead Sea The opportunity to float in the Dead Sea was both fun and therapeutic. The high salt content makes it impossible to sink, and the mineral-rich mud offers rejuvenating benefits for the skin. It was a perfect break from our historical and spiritual explorations, allowing us to relax and enjoy one of the world's most unique natural wonders. ADI Negev One of the most touching parts of the trip was our visit to ADI Negev, a special community dedicated to providing care for individuals with severe disabilities. It was heartwarming to see the care and dedication given to the residents, and it underscored the values of compassion and community that are deeply embedded in Israeli society. Interaction with Local Messianic Jews and Israeli Leaders One of the most enriching aspects of this trip was the opportunity to connect with local Messianic Jews and Israeli leaders. Their stories, insights, and shared experiences gave us a unique understanding of life in Israel today, particularly from the perspective of believers in the Messiah. Their warmth, openness, and commitment to their faith were truly inspiring. --- In conclusion, this Familiarization Trip to Israel with Philip's House was a profound and enriching experience. From the historical sites and spiritual moments to the personal connections with local leaders and Messianic Jews, every aspect of the trip was thoughtfully planned and executed. It offered a unique and comprehensive perspective on Israel's past, present, and future, and left us with memories that will last a lifetime. Highly recommended for anyone looking to gain a deeper understanding of Israel, its people, and its faith. I look forward to taking a group from our church in 2025 and experience the areas I wasn't able to see, such as the Sea of Galilee, Capernaum, Bethlehem, and engaging with the locals again.

My recent familiarization tour of Israel with Philip’s House was nothing short of incredible. As a pastor, this journey was designed to give me a firsthand experience of the land with the hope of bringing more groups in the future—and it exceeded all expectations. The itinerary was thoughtfully curated, with most of our time spent in the vibrant and historic city of Jerusalem. Every corner of this city seemed to echo the stories of Scripture, and the many sites we visited brought the Bible to life in a profound way. We also had the privilege of engaging with local Israelis, which deepened our understanding of the culture and people who call this remarkable place home. A highlight of this aspect was our visit to the Knesset, where we gained insights into Israel's modern governance. One of the most memorable experiences was hearing Father Kelly speak on the Shroud of Turin—a talk that was both thought-provoking and inspiring. Another standout moment for me was the hike in the Negev Desert at Engedi. Witnessing a waterfall emerge amidst the arid desert landscape was a powerful reminder of the beauty and resilience of creation. The accommodations were top-notch, offering comfort and exceptional hospitality. The food was abundant and delicious, featuring the rich flavors of Israeli cuisine that left no one hungry! Our tour leader Eli and our bus driver Aaron were phenomenal, ensuring everything ran smoothly and providing insightful commentary along the way. Their expertise and kindness made the trip even more enjoyable. This trip not only gave me a deeper connection to the Holy Land but also inspired me to share this experience with others. I am already looking forward to returning to Israel, bringing new groups to discover the richness of its history, culture, and spiritual significance.
